Much of this work is done through Joint Negotiating Councils (JNCs). The basis for these meetings is often a trade union recognition agreement (TURA), which sets out the terms for negotiation between the employer and staff side, as well as often clarifying how the employer will discharge their duty in providing facility time.
The following links are for those employer groups with whom ASCL is currently working, including the ASCL lead and, where in place, a copy of the TURA.
If you are concerned about your employer's HR policies and practices and would like some advice, please contact ASCL's hotline on 0116 299 1122 or email hotline@ascl.org.uk
Full members who are changing employers or roles and wish to take advantage of our contract-checking service, or seek advice on specific policies should send a copy of the proposed contract or policy to the ASCL hotline prior to signing it.
Alternatively, if you have a JNC (or equivalent) where you require ASCL involvement, please contact employers@ascl.org.uk
