Understanding T Levels

Face-to-face workshops for schools

Funded by the Department for Education, the Education and Training Foundation (ETF) has developed a high-quality professional development offer to support teachers, trainers and leaders who will be delivering T Levels in 2020 and beyond. The support aims to ensure that teachers and trainers have the teaching skills, subject knowledge and confidence needed to deliver a high-quality T Level programme from the outset.

One part of the Understanding T Levels CPD offer aims to ensure that school teachers involved in advising young people understand what T Levels are and the potential benefits for learners.

These half-day workshops are designed for all teaching staff in all types of secondary education who want to understand T Levels – the government’s new flagship vocational programme. The workshops will be crucial CPD for any staff who have a role in advising young people about their further education options, as well as for teachers wishing to develop their own professional knowledge and understanding.

These workshops are offered at no charge.  Places will be limited so early booking is advised.

A range of online CPD modules has been developed for staff working with local feeder schools to ensure those advising young people understand what T levels are. You will find it useful to view these materials prior to the event, and will need to be logged into Foundation Online Learning.
