who have had their tax records checked by a tax expert found they had paid too much tax! If you have not checked your tax, it is worth reading on…
934 ASCL members
have had their tax professionally checked since 2017.
554 members (over 59%) went on to discover they had errors in their tax records
that had caused their employers to take too much tax off their pay.
Since we first made a review available to members in 2009, ASCL members have managed to recover over £544,000 incorrectly deducted from their pay, with
refunds averaging £410.38 each.
In many cases, members have also seen an increase in the net pay, whilst one member went on to recover more than £8,900 following her review.
The Tax Refund Company, who provided the tax review on our behalf, has now launched
CheckMyTax
, offering the same trusted service but providing flexible service options that mean
you can benefit from an expert checking your tax, but keep 100% of any refund HMRC pays you.
The experts at CheckMyTax will carefully examine your tax code, allowances, and deductions. You will receive a report showing what’s been checked and if anything is wrong, the completed HMRC claim forms, together with full instructions showing you how to use these to get all your money back off HMRC and an increase in your net pay every month (where applicable).
Why should you check your tax?
With 6 in 10 ASCL members found to be paying too much tax, the odds are clearly stacked in your favour.
