Football Beyond Borders (FBB) focuses on improving GCSE outcomes and reducing exclusion for 3000 vulnerable students in over 50 schools across London, the North West and the West Midlands. Children are disengaged in their learning when they start FBB’s programme. Many are referred because disruptive behaviour has initiated their journey towards exclusion. Their approach builds social and emotional learning skills through explicit teaching, play, connection and enrichment trips. Work centres on the development of strong relationships between adults and young people, via both group and one-to-one spaces.
