
FIELD OFFICER
Homebased in the London region.
Part time 0.6FTE minimum (equivalent to three days per week).
Starting salary £64,601 (£38,761 0.6FTE).
ASCL is seeking to appoint a field officer to undertake casework supporting ASCL members. The post will cover the London region, supporting the regional officer.
The post of field officer requires up-to-date knowledge and experience of the issues facing the senior leadership teams of schools and colleges and the ability to deal with individuals at a senior level. Therefore, you should have held a senior leadership position within schools or colleges within the last two years. Business leaders with extensive HR experience, or leaders at or above Deputy Headteacher level or equivalent, will be best suited to this post.
For this post the postholder must live in the region that they serve. The postholder will work from home, although much of the role involves travel on a very frequent basis within the region to meet with members, to attend meetings and to meet with employers. There will be regular contact with, and visits to, ASCL HQ in Leicester plus regular training sessions. IT and telephone equipment will be provided.

DIRECTOR, ASCL NORTHERN IRELAND
Northern Ireland, home-based.
Starting salary £76,609.
Full-time, permanent (for this role, we are open to discussing the possibility of full-time or part-time working / job share for the right candidate/s)
The Director of ASCL Northern Ireland is an exciting role and is responsible for leading on all aspects of the association’s policy in relation to schools and colleges in Northern Ireland. The postholder supports the work of ASCL Council and is expected to meet and influence senior representatives for the Northern Ireland Assembly, Northern Ireland Office and influential bodies.
With excellent presentation and communication skills, and with proven knowledge of current Northern Irish education policies relevant to school and college leaders, you are likely to have recently held either a policy-focused role or a leadership role in an education organisation, education setting or other relevant educational organisation. The successful candidate will be educated to degree standard, be confident and effective in media engagement and able to provide insight and oversight of local commercial opportunities.
Working closely within an extremely well-regarded and supportive ASCL team, who represent members and influence policy, you may occasionally be asked to deputise for the General Secretary.
The position is home-based although involves frequent travel across Northern Ireland to attend meetings with key stakeholders and deliver training and consultancy to members. There will be regular contact with and visits to ASCL HQ in Leicester, plus training and development.
