Julia Harnden has updated our information paper (published September 2023) on the national funding formula (NFF) for 2024/25. As a reminder, for maintained schools, this covers the period 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025, and for academies, from 1 September 2024 to 31 August 2025.
The paper has been updated following discovery of an error made by DfE officials during the initial calculations of the NFF. Specifically, there was an error processing forecast pupil numbers, which means that the overall cost of the Core Schools Budget would have been greater than the amount available. The total amount available in the core schools budget has not changed. It will be £59.6 billion in 2024/25. You can see your revised indicative allocation
