The government launched a new guidance page
on 1 Apirl 2021 which features information on Level 3 courses for jobs and Skills Bootcamps. These are free courses for adults aged 24 and over who do not have a first Level 3 qualification and who are eligible for funding, such as those on Universal Credit.
Those aged 19 and over can also access free courses if they do not have a first Level 3 through the legal entitlement to Level 3 qualifications.
Adults can choose from almost 400 free courses to gain new skills that will help them access opportunities and possibly get a better job. Further information on this offer is available on the National Skills Fund
Whilst the list of courses does not include all sectors of employment, adults wishing to gain a Level 3 qualification in one of the 18 sectors that are included, may find they are eligible.
ASCL would like to see this offer extended to many more adults.
