Claire Armitstead, Director of the Association of School and College Leaders (ASCL) Cymru,comments on the publication of level 2 results in Wales.
"Today is about celebrating young people and everything they have achieved. These results reflect years of hard work and perseverance, and every learner should be proud of what they have accomplished.
"Results day is always a moment to celebrate. Whether students are moving on to sixth form, college, apprenticeships, training or employment, today marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter in their lives.
"It's also a chance to acknowledge the support of parents and carers, who have encouraged, motivated and stood by their children throughout their education. Their role in helping young people reach this milestone should not be underestimated.
"We should also pay tribute to the incredible work of teachers, support staff and school and college leaders across Wales. They go above and beyond every day to help young people succeed, often while working in increasingly challenging circumstances. Today's achievements are a testament to their dedication, expertise and unwavering commitment to the learners in their care.
"We should be proud of what learners across Wales have achieved and optimistic about the contribution they will make in the years ahead."
