Following consideration of the evidence of other statutory consultees, we have now submitted our supplementary evidence to the STRB. 

We focused our supplementary comments on the DfE’s evidence to the STRB. We highlighted our concerns over the inadequacy of the level of pay award suggested by the DfE, and provided modelling to demonstrate the unrealistic savings that would need to be made by schools to fund the proposed increase. 

We welcomed the inclusion of the consideration of the STRB recommendations on the Further Education (FE) teaching workforce and called for the Secretary of State to put an end to the disparity in pay and funding for the FE sector, and reiterated our call for the scope of the STPCD to be broadened to include business leaders alongside their leadership colleagues.
