We agree with the principle of adding technical qualifications (TQs) to Ofqual’s list of recognised qualifications, including T levels. This should strengthen public confidence in T levels and ensure consistency. Accreditation of technical qualifications alongside T levels will help safeguard quality and reinforce credibility in the long term. 

However, since IfATE is no longer in existence and DfE, Skills England and Ofqual share responsibilities for T levels and there is a risk of duplication of and complexity in the regulations unless accreditation processes are coordinated.
