As Government prepares the Autumn Budget 2025, it is crucial that decisions on education investment and funding distribution strike a careful balance between fiscal responsibility and long-term national priorities. Sustained and well-targeted investment in education is not only essential for raising attainment and supporting workforce development, but also for ensuring that upcoming reforms including those set out in the Schools White Paper and the Post-16 Education and Skills White Paper can be delivered effectively and equitably across all regions.
