The overwhelming view of school leaders is that AS examinations should be as early as possible within the examination cycle with A2 examinations to follow. This reflects the adjustment in weighting with AS worth 40% and A2 worth 60% of the overall A Level and the desire to have Y13 pupils return to school to begin A2 courses of study.
