ASCL’s response seeks to balance the needs of bereaved employees with school leaders’ duties to manage a well-organised school for pupils. Where possible, we have chosen options that are simple to manage and consistent with other forms of leave, to make the process as straightforward as possible for both employee and school leader/employer.
