ASCL welcomes the scope of the Green Paper (GP), and in particular its attempt to address the complexity of the SEND system rather than smoothing over areas often seen as too difficult and intractable.

ASCL is particularly pleased to see three specific proposals: the nationalising of funding expectations, the standardisation and digitisation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), and the involvement of Alternative Provision (AP) within a single system with mainstream and special schools.
