Psychometric profiling

ASCL offers a tailored psychometric profiling service to support your decisions about candidates – and how they might behave as future leaders and team members. Profiling can reveal aspects unlikely to be revealed in other ways, while reducing biases during recruitment.

Unlike ‘off the shelf’ profiling, our service includes support from a British Psychological Society accredited consultant with years of experience in schools and other educational settings who will:
  • interpret the outcomes of the profiling to suggest possible interview questions or lines of enquiry to explore at other stages of recruitment, all of which are tailored and phrased to suit school leadership situations
  • work with the panel and candidates to ensure you meet your timescales
  • ensure everyone involved, and their data, is treated ethically, fairly and safely
Baselined against thousands of similar professionals, and regulated and licensed by the British Psychological Society, we use a workplace personality questionnaire that focuses on preferences and behaviours around:

  • how the candidate works with and leads others
  • how they approach and think about workplace tasks
  • how they feel about and respond to themselves and others at work
  • their sense of drive towards new challenges
