Scotland’s Curriculum reform – Curriculum for Excellence – has had its ups and downs. As with many reforms, the devil was in the details which were not particularly clear. Each school developed their curriculum to suit their pupils. Graham will talk about his experience as a head, leading curriculum change and ensuring that Curriculum for Excellence became a positive reality in his school; where it faltered across Scotland due to lack of resources and innovation; and where does it go now, given the Scottish Government’s response to the recent plethora of reports on education reform. |
