Leading On - Changes to 16-19 Condition of funding for English and maths

The ESFA has introduced changes to the conditions of funding for English and maths resits that come into effect from September 2024. To meet the condition of funding from the academic year 2024 to 2025, students must study eligible qualifications for a minimum number of hours per week.

For full-time students this is three hours per week for English and four hours for maths and pro rata for part-time students. What does this mean for your school or college this academic year and what will be the impact as the changes are embedded over the next two years?

In this session, we will consider the background to changes in this condition of funding, discuss how this is already playing out in colleges, and the potential financial implications for all school sixth forms and colleges.

*PLEASE NOTE: This is a prerecorded session and for purchasing resources only*
